Social Work, MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK

Apply your passion to advocate for social change and serve diverse populations through NAU’s Master of Social Work (MSW). Grounded in the foundations of social work, our program is geared for practice with rural and Indigenous populations of the Southwest. As an activist for social, economic, and environmental justice, you’ll serve vulnerable and underserved individuals and communities.

Studying with a dynamic team of experienced faculty, you’ll explore how to advance human rights to help people gain access to vital resources. When you graduate, you’ll be equipped with the deepened knowledge and values and well-honed skills you need to be an agent for positive change for a variety of individuals in a variety of cultures and communities.

The Master of Social Work degree is the terminal degree for professional social work practice and licensure. This program is currently in candidacy for accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and is on track to be accredited. Advanced Standing degree also available for those who have an accredited BSW; it only takes 12 months to complete.

Structured online degrees have five start dates each semester, so you can enroll on your timeline.
